I thought it was about time I explained what is happening with this project. The music was based on a modern day fairy tale that I wrote some year ago.

I know some of you have a CD version that was available in Norway for a short time. We will call that the directors cut. I was never satisfied with the way my story was told through the music on this CD, although I loved and still do love it (the music that is). So over the last 4 years, I have been working hard to make the story more understandable on first listening. I then realized this was not actually going to be possible, and the only way to do that was to put on a stage show, with everything I have in my mind, and film it, so that everybody would be able to experience what I have had in my head for all these years.

I have spent a great deal of time writing a script for the stage show that I believe will be a fantastic Multi Media event / rock concert that will have people enthralled and involved.

After finishing the first draft of the script, I realized I needed another character, a story teller / master of ceremonies that would keep the show moving along and provide comic relief. I’m very pleased to announce that my good friend and compadre Alexis James (The Fantastic Young Artilleryman from War of the Worlds) has agreed to help me write his part and be a part of the live show.

So in February this year we will be filming various scenes and parts of the show, with all the Cast (myself, Gail Tipene, King Kapisi, Alexis, Te Vaka and the band, as well as some “Wizz-Bang” animation and special effects by Kenny Evans and his team) that will be used to put together a short DVD of the concept “REDISCOVERY” that will attract investors to put the shows on in New Zealand in March 2011.

At this point I would like to thank Bergen Energy (especially Bill Schjelderup), who have sponsored me financially to achieve this dream and get this short DVD in place. Without them, it would be impossible. The DVD will be ready in May and then the fun will begin!
